ABOUT RAISE 4 A CHILD
The connection between Otto1890 Weekend Warrior and Raise 4 A Child was forged in the saddle. What started as a gritty fundraising effort—sending a six-rider team to take on the grueling Absa Cape Epic—quickly snowballed into an unstoppable community movement, raising over R250,000 for children in need.
LITTLE STARS CRÈCHE NEEDS YOUR OLD GEAR
To extend our R4C initiative, we are collecting much-needed educational resources, toys, hygiene products, and sports equipment for Little Stars Crèche located right inside Lourensford Estate.
HOW RIDERS CAN CONTRIBUTE
1. Donate on the Entry Portal: When entering any 2026/2027 Weekend Warrior event, you can make a direct contribution where 100% of proceeds go straight to ground operations.
2. Book Drop-Offs: Bring gently used children’s books, readers, or educational stationery to race registration.
3. Sports Equipment & Gear: Drop off pre-loved cycling gear, running shoes, or sports equipment at the R4C gazebos located inside the race village.
4. On-Event Engagement: Visit the Raise 4 A Child team at the finish line to meet the crew and see the impact your riding makes firsthand.
