Entries for the Weekend Warrior series can be completed online through our official Red Cherry Events entry platform. Simply navigate to your chosen event page (Grabouw or Lourensford) and select your entry package.
Yes! If you join on an E-Bike you will start in a dedicated wave ahead of the main race to ensure seamless trail flow and safety for all riders.
There are 3 distinctly tiered routes at all Weekend Warrior events, engineered for different experience levels: the shorter Bronze routes are designed for novices and families, while Silver and Gold routes offer increased distance and technical elevation for serious mountain bikers.
Online entries close on the Wednesday at 12:00 AM immediately preceding the event weekend. Late entry fees will apply on race day during registration.
The Weekend Pass: Includes full access to the race village, all Red Cherry hospitality amenities, medical backup, hydration stations, and your 2-day stage race entry fee. Pre-pitched rental tents can be reserved from R150 (bring your own mattress and bedding).
The Day Rider Fee: Covers your single-day stage entry and access to the race village before and after the stage. And most importantly: an unforgettable weekend of adventure!
Yes, you can transfer your ticket directly via your profile on the Red Cherry Events portal up until the Monday preceding the event. After that deadline, please contact race HQ directly to assist with manual transfer processing.
There is zero entry fee for spectators to come, support, and enjoy the village atmosphere! If non-riding supporters wish to camp with a partner, they are welcome to share a tent, or book an extra non-riding supporter tent package at R400 per weekend.
Registration takes place inside the race village at the event venue:
- Saturday: 09:30 – 11:30 (MTB Weekend Pass & Day Riders)
- Sunday: 06:30 – 08:00 (Sunday Day Riders)
Upon presenting your confirmation QR code or ID, you will receive:
- Official race number boards and timing chips.
- Pre-booked tent assignment tag and village wristband (if camping).
- Event partner goodie items and briefing notes.
Yes. A teammate or family member may collect your pack provided they have your full name, South African ID number (or passport), and your chosen race distance.
Riders wanting to cancel for any reason will forfeit the following percentage of their entry fee:
- 100% Refund: If written cancellation notice is received 3 months (90 days) prior to the event.
- 75% Refund: If written notice is received 2 months (60 days) prior to the event.
- 0% Refund: If written notice is received within 1 month (30 days) of the event commencement.

LOGISTICS & FIELD OPS
Saturday: 09:30 – 11:30 for Weekend Pass and Saturday Day Riders.
Sunday: 06:30 – 08:00 for Sunday Day Riders.
Saturday Stage 1: 12:30 Start for Bronze, Silver, and Gold riders (E-Bikes launch 5-10 minutes ahead).
Sunday Stage 2: 08:30 Start for Bronze, Silver, and Gold riders.
Yes! Dedicated charging stations are available in the Race Village Chill Zone, providing ample time and power points to top up batteries between stages.
There are no harsh cut-off times; our crew will cheer you home from start to finish! If you experience exhaustion or mechanical failure, our course sweep vehicles are deployed to collect you safely.
Yes! Fully stocked water points are strategically positioned along both stages, providing chilled water, electrolyte drinks, seasonal fresh fruit, and savory energy snacks.
Non-negotiable: approved cycling helmets are mandatory at all times while on your bike. No rider will be allowed onto the course or allowed to cross the finish line without a fastened helmet.
We offer a secure, supervised mini kids entertainment area complete with jumping castles and lawn games. Please bring along toys and sunblock to ensure they are happy and occupied.
Yes. Full medical backup is on standby with off-road 4x4 ambulances, motorized sweep medics, and a primary medical tent stationed in the main race village.
Professional bike mechanics are positioned in the village and at select waterpoints. While labor and advice are provided, any parts or tubes required are at your own cost. Always carry a spare tube, pump, and multi-tool to avoid course delays.

RESULTS & MEDIA
A direct result SMS is dispatched to your registered cell number on race day. You can also view official live timing leaderboards directly via the official Results Hub.
Your race result SMS contains an immediate query link. Alternatively, submit your timing board number, distance, and query directly to our timing partners at info@bouttime.co.za.
High-resolution trail and podium photos will be uploaded within 48–72 hours after the race on our official Gallery Page and shared on our social channels.
Podium awards and lucky draw giveaways take place on Sunday afternoon at approximately 12:00 in the Race Village amphitheater. View our prize allocation guidelines on the Prize Giving Page.
